This +1 mace has 6 wings around a hollow head, each wing is shaped like the stylised airflow blown from cherubs in the corner of ocean maps. Whilst it appears well made and finely balanced, outwardly it doesn't advertise it's magical nature.
This mace feels light to the creature wielding it, when used it seems to have something of a mind of its own, intercepting attacks and avoiding defences almost instinctively.
The Airflow mace allows the user to negate a single effect that inflicts disadvantage on attack rolls. Note that only the disadvantage is negated, not any other effects.
Also note that only a single disadvantage may be ignored in this way at a time.
Example 1: Wielder is prone and attacks opponent in melee, the weapon negates the disadvantage caused by being prone but doesn't counter any of the other elements of the prone condition. (movement speed halved, cause disadvantage to incoming ranged attacks, incoming melee attacks have disadvantage etc etc).
The wielder makes a straight attack roll.
Example 2: Wielder is prone and opponent is effected by blur spell.Mace will negate 1 of the 2 disadvantages but the other will still stand.
The wielder makes attack roll with disadvantage.
Example 3: Wielder is blind but striking an opponent who just got hit by guiding bolt.Mace negates disadvantage due to blindness.
The wielder makes an attack roll with advantage.
Proficiency with a Mace allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Sap. If you hit a creature with this weapon, that creature has Disadvantage on its next attack roll before the start of your next turn.
Notes: Bonus: Magic, Requires attunement over a long rest by a character proficient in Maces, Sap
