This amulet contains a single orb of black ice streaked with red cracks which glow with the life force of its previous owners.
Upon attuning to this item, the amulet fuses to your chest, black veins of ice spreading outwards across your skin and deep into your flesh. As long as you remain attuned to the Amulet of the Ice Bound your Constitution is reduced by 4, your base movement is reduced by 5, and you are resistant to cold damage. Removing the amulet while attuned to it deals 6d10 points of necrotic damage. This damage does not heal naturally and healing magic provides only temporary relief with the woulds reopening after a long rest until the curse is removed or the amulet is returned.
While you wear this amulet, any time you would gain Temporary Hit Points, you instead gain twice that number of Temporary Hit Points. The source of the Temporary Hit Points is not changed by this effect. Additionally, whenever you have Temporary Hit Points, shards of black ice form across your skin, providing you with a Natural Armor Class of 13 + your Dexterity Bonus (this has no effect if you are wearing armor which would increase your Armor Class above this amount but it can be used in combination with a shield) and dealing damage to melee attackers. Any time you are hit with a melee attack, your attacker takes cold damage equal to the Temporary Hit Points you lost from the attack.
Notes: Attunement requires a single drop of blood dripped onto the black ice. Attunement can only be broken via remove curse or similar effect. Multiple creatures can attune to the amulet at once.
