Astrix's Spellbook

This spellbook, found on the dead body of a Tiefling named Astrix, has an ornate leather binding and clasp and is well bound containing the following spells:

1st Level:
Cloud of Daggers
Detect Magic
Expeditious Retreat
Shield
Tenser's Floating Disk

2nd Level:
Alter Self
Comprehend Languages
Scorching Ray
Suggestion

Spells in this spellbook must be translated from Astrix's magical shorthand and recorded on a scroll or in a spellbook before they can be cast.

A wizard can make an Intelligence (Arcana) check with a DC of 10 + the spell level. If the players succeeds on this roll by 10 or more the cost of resources is halved. The cost is further reduced if the spells is of the wizards specialist school of magic.
