A metallic, heavy, mechanical bolt type weapon (like a broad crossbow minus the bow), embued with magics to allow various ranged cantrips to be cast by non magic users.
The AURA has two main settings, Damage & Utility. At the start of each day, the user must choose as to whether the AURA will be attuned to its Damage or Utility setting for the next 24 hours. The AURAs setting can be changed at a short/long rest to negate the 24 hour setting choice period by the user currently attuned to it.
After choosing the setting for the AURA, the user can choose either a Damage Setting or a Utility setting. The setting can be changed every time the user takes a short/long rest.
The Casting times of the cantrips are still the base action times that the spells use when cast by a standard magic user (1 Action).

It’s up to you to decide whether a character has proficiency with a firearm. Characters in most D&D worlds wouldn’t have such proficiency. During their downtime, characters can use the training rules in the Player’s Handbook to acquire proficiency, assuming that they have enough ammunition to keep the weapons working while mastering their use.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Sap. If you hit a creature with this weapon, that creature has Disadvantage on its next attack roll before the start of your next turn.
Notes: Long Rest, Range, Two-Handed, Ammunition (Firearms), Reload, Sap

Posted May 18, 2021Mainly thought this could be something fun to use for the Martial/Melee classes that aren't ranged. Mainly I had it in my head that this would be an early game item, but would still hold its use later in campaigns via Utility settings. All constructive Feedback is encouraged and welcome! :)
