This bow can be used as a spellcasting focus for druid or ranger spells.
When you hit a large or smaller creature with an attack made with the bow, you can have the arrow attempt to entrap them in a block of amber. The hit creature must succeed on a DC 14 Strength saving throw or be restrained as amber begins to grow on it. A creature restrained in this way must make another Strength saving throw at the end of each of its turns. If it successfully saves against this effect three times, the condition ends on it. If it fails its saves three times, it is trapped in a block of amber and subjected to the petrified condition for the duration. The successes and failures don't need to be consecutive; keep track of both until the target collects three of a kind.
If the creature is physically broken while petrified, it suffers from similar deformities if it reverts to its original state.
Once used, this property cannot be used again until the next dawn.
Proficiency with a Longbow allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Slow. If you hit a creature with this weapon and deal damage to it, you can reduce its Speed by 10 feet until the start of your next turn. If the creature is hit more than once by weapons that have this property, the Speed reduction doesn’t exceed 10 feet.
Notes: Ammunition, Heavy, Range, Two-Handed, Slow
