Arcane Enhancement Sphere

A brass disc created out of multiple interlocking rings with a large ruby sphere placed in the middle. When activated, the rings separate and begin to float into the air hovering in the palm of the one who activated it. Sparks of arcane electricity flow in between each ring and when a spell is cast with this rob acting as the focus the rings rotate rapidly as the orb glow bright red.

This strange contraption has a multitude of arcane runes placed on the inside of each ring, each thrumming with a faint blue light almost like a heartbeat. This device has very clear origins within Hammerdale, with the use of brass and rubies placed at regular patterns throughout the entire device, however, its clear ability to enhance the arcane also implies roots within Ceanlach. Perhaps this was the product of a joint effort between both sides

While attuned, you gain the following effects:

This item has 3 charges. You can use these charges to cast a spell you know and have prepared with each charge being 1 a 1st level spell slot. You can use more than one charge to cast the same spell at a higher level, to a total of a 3rd level spell slot.

When you cast a spell using this item as a focus, the spell is cast 1 level higher than normal to a maximum of 9th level.
