This magical armor appears to be a standard set of Brigandine armor. However a close inspection with a trained eye would reveal that the materials and forging techniques are unlike any other, and found only in items of AEdaxian origin. The leather has eluded identification which has lead some scholars to believe that it may from an extinct species Dragon kind due to its unique toughness, relative light weight, and flexibility. The close sewn metal plates are also of an unknown type leading to speculation among Dwarven Sages that the plates are made of some kind of Meteoric ore. The armor bestows +4 to armor class, +3 to Dexterity saving throws and ability checks. Brigandine armor,is akin to Leather Studded armor. It consist of a series of small metal plates sandwiched between a leather sleeveless Hauberk with a canvas backing. A padded gambizon is worn underneath. The metal plates may vary in shape and size, but are sewn and riveted into place providing a flexible, but relatively strong, inexpensive armor. Leather, Hide, or Metal pauldrons are provided for shoulder protection. The arms are protected by a vanbrace, and elbow cops. Gauntlets of varying materials provide protection for the hands. The legs are protected by grieves of similar construction of the Hauberk. The base Armor Class is 14, weighs 25 lbs, and considered medium armor. The armor requires fewer straps and fasteners than most armors in its class, and all armors above.
This armor consists of a coat and leggings (and perhaps a separate skirt) of leather covered with overlapping pieces of metal, much like the scales of a fish. The suit includes gauntlets.
