A nearly transparent white crystal held in place by copper wires carefully twisted across it to form the figure of a magnificent tree hanging from a thin bronze chain.
Once per long rest, the (attuned) wearer may spend an action to cast Beacon of Hope. The spell only targets the user and does not require concentration, lasting its full duration. If the amulet is removed, unattuned, destroyed, or dispelled before the full duration, the spell ends. Additionally, the wearer may use a bonus action to spend one of their hit dice to heal themselves for 1d8+3 hit points. The number of hit points regained can not be influenced by magic.
If the user spends their last hit die to heal, they successfully receive the healing before falling unconscious at the end of their turn. They remain incapacitated for 1 hour or until assisted by a Wisdom (Medicine) check of 25 or higher and can not be magically healed in this time. When the duration ends or they are aided, the user regains consciousness and must make a DC 13 Constitution saving throw. The user receives 2 levels of exhaustion on a failed save, or 1 level of exhaustion on a successful one. If the user already has levels of exhaustion, they do not stack past 4.

Posted May 27, 2021Feel free to ask any questions, leave any comments, or provide your suggestions for improvement in the comments. I have done my best to balance as well as buff the item for easier transposing into varyingly party levels, with a slight high-risk high-reward aspect for lower levels, but low risk and low reward at higher levels that can serve as a last resort or aid.
