The Annie Oakley Armor was built for one purpose: killing mages. A gunslinger crafted this armor to help defeat a powerful shadow sorcerer. It looks like half-plate armor, but with a modified helm of comprehend languages that fold over like a visor. The right gauntlet has a small blue eye-like opening on its palm, while the left has a blue orb on the back of its hand. The two boots shine like bright blue metal, while the chest plate has a small blue orb used to contain the charges. On the belt of the armor are slots that open up for easy access to weaponry such as swords or pistols. There is also a coat that overlays the armor that works as a Mantle of Spell Resistance.
After a few years, the gunslinger found a few dragon scales to enhance its capabilities. With some help from an artificer, she found a way to enchant it to gain resistance to nonmagical bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage.
While wearing this armor, you gain the following benefits:
- You have a +3 bonus to AC.
- Your Strength score is 20 (this has no effect if your Strength is already 20 or higher).
- You have advantage on death saving throws, and saving throws against magic
- As long as the orb in the centerpiece of the suit has charges, the wearer does not have a disadvantage on stealth checks.
- As long as the orb has charges, the wearer has a +2 bonus to all saving throws, however, this prevents the usage of any Rings or Cloaks of Protection
- As long as the orb has charges, the wearer can use their full dex despite being half-plate armor.
The armor has several pieces to it that activate various abilities. Each ability that uses a concentration spell(Such as Haste or Slow) can only be activated one at a time. Each piece uses charges coming from the centerpiece, which holds a total of 35 charges per day.
The Right Gauntlet:
- The gauntlet can create a small bolt of lightning that increases in damage for each charge put into it: 2d6 for 2 charges, 3d6 for 3, 4d6 for 4, 5d6 for 5, and 6d6 for 6. Overcharging the gauntlet for 8 charges activates the Lightning Bolt spell. Overcharging for 16 activates the Chain Lightning spell.
- Has a wrist-mounted dagger for close quarters.
- When clenched, the gauntlet can activate the Globe of Invulnerability for 12 charges at level 6, 13 at level 7, 14 at level 8, and 15 at level 9.
- The gauntlet has now been lined with red dragon scales, giving it fire resistance.
The Left Gauntlet:
- For 5 charges, the gauntlet can cast Silence on either the wearer or a single target.
- For 5 charges, the gauntlet can cast Slow on the target.
- The gauntlet has now been lined with blue dragon scales, giving it lightning resistance
- When clenched, the gauntlet can caste 5 charges for Counterspell at Level 3, 6 charges for level 4, 7 charges for level 5, 8 charges for level 6, 9 charges for level 7, 10 charges for level 8, 11 charges for level 9
- The gauntlet has a large cannon(30/60) attached to it. It contains one cannonball that can do 6d6 bludgeoning per shot. However, the user must pass a Strength saving throw with a DC of 18, or be knocked backward.
Helm:
- Functions as a Helm of Comprehend Languages
- Can cast True Seeing for 5 charges
- Has an attached gas mask that grants resistance to Poison damage.
- Can cast Hunter's Mark for 1 charge
Boots:
- Can use 5 charges to cast Haste on the wearer.
- Can cast Zephyr Strike for 2 charges
- The right boot has been lined with black dragon scales, giving it acid resistance. Left boot has been lined with white dragon scales, granting cold resistance.
Chestplate:
- Can cast Fly for 5 charges
- Has an amulet built into it that grants necrotic resistance.
- For 8 charges, Gives the wearer resistance to bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage, and allows their attacks to do an added 1d4 psychic damage at the cost of half-speed.
- The Chestplate is using the chest plate of an Armor of Force Resistance.
- For 10 charges, the suit can go into overdrive. For 30 seconds, this gives the wearer an added +3 to AC, an extra action, resistance to all damage, advantage on attacks and dex-based saving throws. In addition, all attacks deal an extra 1d4 psychic damage. This will give the wearer 2 levels of exhaustion.
- For 25 charges, the wearer can cast the Invulnerability spell.
The armor as a whole has been grafted with Adamantine, granting immunity to critical hits. The suit has an automatic Death Ward enchantment that activates when a hostile high-level spellcaster or a hostile Lich is near. This enchantment will take 5 charges from the armor. As long as the wearer has this armor, they cannot be paralyzed or frightened.
Half plate consists of shaped metal plates that cover most of the wearer's body. It does not include leg protection beyond simple greaves that are attached with leather straps.
