Rod, rare (requires attunement by a by a Warlock)
  • You have a +1 bonus to your spell attack rolls and to your spell save DC. In addition, your warlock cantrips which deal damage, deal an additional 1 point of fire damage.
  • As an action, you can restore one of your warlock pact slots. Once you use this feature, you cannot use it again until you finish a long rest.
  • When you damage a creature or an object with a warlock spell that deals fire damage, you can cause the target to be wreathed in flames. At the start of their turn, any Ignited target takes 1d4 fire damage. A creature can end this effect on themselves or another creature by either spending an action to pat out the flames, or by finding another way to extinguish or smother them, such as submerging in water or being within a strong wind. Once you use this feature, you cannot use it again until you finish a long rest.
  • When you reduce a creature to 0 hit points with a spell of first level or higher which deals fire damage, you learn the surface thoughts of the creature - what is most on its mind in that moment. In addition, the rod gains 1 charge, and can hold no more than nine charges.
  • While holding the rod, you may expend one or more charges to cast warlock spells you know as rituals as long as they have the ritual tag. The number of charges to expend equals the level of the spell. If you spend an additional three charges, you can ignore the extended cast time for casting a spell as a ritual.

You may expend 3 charges to cast Speak with Dead, requiring no material components, on a creature killed by fire damage within the last 10 minutes. - You may expend 5 charges to cast Legend Lore, requiring no material components.
