The arming ring looks like a simple silver band with images of a sword, a shield, a wand, and a holy symbol etched on the inside of it. Using a bonus action the wearer can magically store any one handed held object or tool within the ring. The object no longer counts its weight towards encumbrance while stored. At any point after an item is stored the wearer can retrieve an item stored in the ring using a bonus action. The item returns exactly as it was when stored so a shield would appear already strapped to the arm. If the item is unable to return in the same position (for instance if you have full hands) the item appears on the ground next to the character.
The activation of the ring is thought based and does not require a verbal command word.
If the arming ring is found in treasure there is a 20% chance it contains an item already.
Notes: Utility, Container, Jewelry

Posted Feb 11, 2021Would this ring have the same 'dimensional space' issues associated with Bags of Holding and Portable Holes? As in, drop this ring in either of those and Bad Things Happen?

Posted Jan 7, 2023No, the ring holds them in stasis in an extra dimensional space, but it isnt a space itself. It is close in kin to a Leomund's secret chest.
