Aetherix is a powerful Alforged weapon that is imbued with the essence of Baldur, The God of Light. Aetherix's composition is composed of pure light. The weapon takes the shape of a magnificent, double-bladed, one handed sword. The weapon is bound to two glorious, shimmering gauntlets that allows the user to project the blade in their hands at will. The wielder can channel various magical elements, bursts and beams of light, create a shield of impenetrable light, teleport, throw the sword as a ranged weapon, and enhance their physical attributes astronomically.
Damage: 3d6 + 5 Slashing Damage and 2d6 + 5 Radiant Damage
The One True Light: Aetherix sheds bright light that can penetrate any darkness no matter its composition 120 feet from the blade, and dim light 60 feet further.
Unbreakable: The sword grants the user immunity to disease and poison damage. The wielder also gains resistance to radiant damage, necrotic damage, and bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage from nonmagical attacks. In addition to this, the wielder is immune to the poisoned condition, the blinded condition, the deafened condition, the charmed condition, the stunned condition, the petrified condition, and the frightened condition.
Eternal Glory: The gauntlets of Aetherix give off an aura within 60 feet of the user that projects the effects of Unbreakable to every creature of the user's choice within the aura's range.
Aether State: The wielder has access to the memories, skills, and wisdom of those who have stood as The Only One in days before. At any time, the wielder can spend 10 minutes to focus their mind and spirit in order to enter the Aether Plane. While in the Aether State, the wielder's body remains on the physical plane in a meditation position, but their mind and spirit is transferred to the Aether Plane. In this state the user has no awareness of anything that occurs in the physical plane. Once the wielder has entered the Aether Plane, they may gain access to the collective consciousness of the spirits of The Aether to access memories, wisdom, and receive guidance. but at any time, the wielder can return to the physical plane instantly. In the Aether Plane every second that passes in the Physical Plane, one day passes in the Aether Plane. The user can only remain in the Aether Plane for up to 30 days at a time in Aether time. After this, the user will break focus and return to the physical plane instantaneously. After using this ability the user cannot use it again for 30 days.
Forged Weapon: Aetherix was crafted in The Alforge and has been imbued with the essence of Baldur. The weapon is indestructible and can destroy any immortal being including Gods, Demi-Gods, Half-life's, Undying, and any other immortal creatures. The only way to destroy this weapon is with a power equal to or greater to it at an overwhelming exposure. This weapon deals double damage to targets such as Half-life's or Undying that are vulnerable to the Forged Weapons.
Essence of Baldur: The wielder gains physical characteristics equal to that of a Demi-God. The users Strength becomes 22, Dexterity becomes 25, and Constitution becomes 22. If any of these stats were already higher then the wielder keeps those stats. The wielder increases their speed by 40 feet, gains advantage on perception checks that rely on smell, sight, or hearing, and has advantage on acrobatic and athletic checks.
The Only One: Once per long rest, the user may channel the true power of Aetherix and become The True Only One. In this state the user's entire body is encased in pure, gleaming white light and their eyes glow a vibrant yellowish-white color. In this form, the user is immune to radiant damage, necrotic damage, and slashing, piercing, and bludgeoning damage from nonmagical attacks. The user also gains resistance to all damage from spells and is immune to every condition. The user's speed is doubled, attack rolls are made with advantage, and the aura range of Unbreakable is doubled. The first two DAMAGE BASED spells used in this state are cast at maximum level and do not consume any spell slots. Any attack or spell used in this form gains two additional dice rolls of damage. Finally, the users AC becomes 25 if the user's AC was not already higher. If a target fails a melee attack roll against you the target is stunned for one round due to the attack bouncing off of your near impenetrable body. If a melee attack from a nonmagical weapon is used against you in this form, the weapon shatters upon hitting your impenetrable body. If a target fails a ranged attack roll with a weapon or spell, the attack will bounce off of your body and has a 50 percent chance to hit the enemy with half the damage.
Abilities:
Teleportation: After focusing for 1 minute without any interruption you can open a portal to the Aether dimension above you and create a gateway between your location and a desired location that you must have full focus and knowledge of. The gateway takes the form of rapid streams of white light. Within a period of one minute you and any creatures or objects of your choice within a 30 foot spherical radius will pass through the Aether and arrive at your desired destination. The gateway burns runes on the ground at your original location and your desired location that can be translated with Elysian Script to tell a reader exactly where you teleported. The runes stay etched in the ground until disturbed. This ability can be used once every day. This ability can be used to travel anywhere between The Nine Realms as long as the user has already been to or visibly seen their desired location. This ability can only be used in open areas and can only teleport you to open areas.
"Thus, whoever wields this sword carries the burden and honor of those before, to stand, as The Only One."
