You have a +3 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon.
This greatsword is infused with The Light and thus, when the command word is spoken, sheds bright light in a 10ft radius and dim light another 10ft. As the sword is swung, a faint trail of holy fire follows behind the blade. You have advantage on attack rolls made against undead creatures, fiends, or cursed creatures, such as werewolves. Whenever one of these creatures is reduced to zero hit points by this weapon, their body is turned to ash. Creatures such as zombies that possess the Undead Fortitude feature, or other similar features, do not benefit from such features when slain by this weapon.
You can release the holy energy from Ashbringer in two forms.
Wake of Ashes. As an action you can swing the blade in a wide arc as a wave of holy fire is projected from the blade in a 15ft cone. Creatures in the cone must make a DC 18 dexterity saving throw or take 4d8 fire damage and 4d8 radiant damage on a failure, or half as much on a success.
Blinding Light. As an action, you can loft the blade above your head and release a blinding light. All creatures of your choice within 30ft of you must succeed on a DC 18 Constitution saving throw or be blinded for the next minute. Creatures may attempt this saving throw again at the end of each turn. The above mentioned creatures are feared as well as blinded and the saving throw is made at disadvantage.
These features can only be used once per day each and recharge daily at dawn.
Any creature can attune to this sword, but should a creature infused with the void or an undead attempt to attune, they will take 1d12 radiant damage every 30 seconds until the attunement is complete. If the creature survives the attune process, Ashbringer will be transformed in Corrupted Ashbringer.
Proficiency with a Greatsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Graze. If your attack roll with this weapon misses a creature, you can deal damage to that creature equal to the ability modifier you used to make the attack roll. This damage is the same type dealt by the weapon, and the damage can be increased only by increasing the ability modifier.
Notes: Bonus: Magic, Damage, Combat, Heavy, Two-Handed, Graze
