This crystal mixes magic and technology to serve as a communication and all-purpose utility device. The crystal ranges from blue to purple in colour and is shaped like a oblong polished gem with a 3"x5" flat surface where the interface of the screen comes alive. You can interact with the device by touching the illusions or speaking to it. The device must be charged once per day and has the following fuctions:
True Sending
When you meet someone else with a crystal, you can share contact information by placing the crystals next to each other. You can then use the sending spell at will and without word restrictions to that person. Restrictions on contacting persons in other planes still apply.
Mutual Scrying
You can use the scrying spell at will to any willing creature that you have shared contact information with. When cast through this feature, the scrying spell allows for two-way communication with the target creature through your crystal. You can only use this feature on people in the same plane of existence as you.
Arcanotech Retrieval
Once per day, you may search the arcane ley lines for a piece of information. Any piece of information must be available in the public domain, otherwise you get only the information about where to access the information if possible. How much information you obtain (including if you obtain any) is at the DM's discretion.
Arcanotech Commune
Once per week, you can cast the commune spell to get the assistance of a willing friend, mentor, or patron. You must have had some contact with this person or entity before.
Illusory Recreation
You create a localised illusion in your crystal's memory storage that captures the likeness of a static scene you can see. These captures only feature what the naked, non-magical eye can see.
