Arcanist's Goggles

These goggles have garnet lenses set in gold rimmed black frames. The goggles have three charges which it regains everyday at midnight. While wearing these glasses, you gain the following benefits:

• You have Darkvision out to a range of 60 feet.
• You have advantage on checks and saves made against or to detect illusion spells.
• You can use one charge and for the next hour you understand any written language that you see, but you must be touching the surface on which the words are written. It takes about 1 minute to read one page of text. These glasses don’t decode secret messages in a text or a glyph, such as an arcane sigil, that isn’t part of a written language.
• You can spend one charge and use an action to cast the detect magic spell. If you remove the glasses, the spell ends. While this feature is active lenses focus your sight on things that are close to you. Everything farther than 30 feet away from you is lightly obscured, and everything farther than 60 feet away is heavily obscured.
