Amplification Crystal

An enhanced solidified gem of residuim, used to amplify magical effects. When casting a spell, you can use this item as an extra material component, which the spell consumes. 

Using an Amplification Crystal can grant a variety of effects, up to the discretion of the DM. It can be used to cast a spell one spell slot higher, or have other specific effects, such as allowing the scrying spell to target objects, maintaining your intelligence score when casting polymorph, or to automatically succeed on the teleport spell, for example.
