Considered by most to have been lost during the Blood War. This magical bow was once known and feared across the nine hells and the endless layers of the abyss. While its name has been forgotten by all but the oldest fiends, a time will soon come for it to once again make its mark on the annals of history.
Magic Weapon. Aethershred is a magic weapon that grants a +3 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with it.
Arcane Projectiles. When you expend an arrow to attack with Aethershred, it deals an additional 3d8 force damage on a hit. You can make a ranged attack with Aethershred without expending ammunition.
Magical Shred. Any creature or object hit by one of Aethershred's arcane projectiles is subjected to a 9th level Dispel Magic effect.
Curse of the brittle string. Any bowstring of Very Rare or lower rarity is instantly disintegrated when Aethershred is fired, causing the attack to fail.
Proficiency with a Longbow allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Slow. If you hit a creature with this weapon and deal damage to it, you can reduce its Speed by 10 feet until the start of your next turn. If the creature is hit more than once by weapons that have this property, the Speed reduction doesn’t exceed 10 feet.
