Weapon (maul), very rare (requires attunement)

A maul that seems to be the harmful incarnate of desires born from the individual Asmodeous. Using the physical manifestation of its will, two items were created that more or less equaled the being's power. It's said that the maul wasn't intended for combat use as it has never seen blood, but those who've seen it seem to lose their personal desires.

Insatiable Desire. Whilst attuning to this item, the wielder must succeed a DC 25 Charisma saving throw against the remaining carnal desires of Asmodeous . Failing the saving throw, the wielder takes 10d6 psychic damage and must wait for another day to try attuning to the item again; however, if the wielder passes the saving throw they are now attuned to the item and become immune to psychic damage.

Lovers' Trust. The wielder can choose to hit a humanoid with this item that has some form of good relationship with them. The target must then succeed a DC 17 Wisdom saving throw or they lose sense of all desires, goals, and aspirations. In addition to failing the saving throw, the target becomes soul linked to the wielder in which they will try to help achieve the goals, desires, and aspirations of the wielder. This has no physical effect on the target and they more or less retain their personality. If the target is successful on their saving throw, they will instantly become hostile to the wielder and be aware of any others that were affected by Lover's Trust.

In addition, Lover's Trust can be used in combat to establish a shared health system between allies you target. This will put the vitality of the individuals in a shared pool of health points. All damage and conditions that affect one individual will affect the rest; however, this will nullify any resistances and immunties that isn't shared amongst the linked members.

Proficiency with a Maul allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.

This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Topple. If you hit a creature with this weapon, you can force the creature to make a Constitution saving throw (DC 8 plus the ability modifier used to make the attack roll and your Proficiency Bonus). On a failed save, the creature has the Prone condition.
