This cap takes the form of a spiraling cone, pink in color, with 'DUNCE' engraved vertically upon it, written in a sparkling, prismatic font that seems to dance and weave before your eyes. After attuning to the item- Once at the start of each day for 7 days, and then permanently thereon- The wearer's intelligence is increased by 2 and they have advantage on concentration checks. However, they become intensely focused on something of the DM's choosing, and will put themselves and allies at extreme risks to learn more about this obsession, even going so far as to disregard rest, food, and drink if they believe they are pursuing something relating to their obsession.
The wearer must succeed a Wisdom save of 10 + the number of days they've been wearing the hat if they wish to remove it after they're permanently attuned: If they fail, the hat's threads dig into their scalp, inflicting 1d6 piercing damage. This damage increases by an additional d6 after every attempt to remove the hat again in a 24 hour period. If another character assists them, they must make a Strength check of the same DC, and the character from whom the hat is removed suffers 30 piercing damage, (as well as nearly being scalped).
