Weapon (greatsword), legendary (requires attunement by a being chosen by sword. Though not sentient this weapon seems to choose its bearer. Those who have suffered at the hand of magic users, or those with no magic of their own are often chosen to wield it, though sometimes a warrior may forsake their own magical powers and take up the blade. )

This dark and rusted ancient blade is imbued with a strong but subtle anti-magic field along its length, allowing it to suppress or outright cancel magic directed at the bearer. Though the sword's origins are unknown, its prowess as a weapon cannot be denied. Those who truly understand the power of the sword can even deflect spells back toward their attacker. A side effect of this however, is that the bearer cannot themselves use magic of any sort.

This weapon is a +2 Greatsword, though is not a magic weapon. It still counts as magical weapon for the purpose of overcoming resistance and immunity to nonmagical attacks and damage.
The Bearer has advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects, and gains resistance to all damage dealt by spells or other magical effects. In addition, each time you are targeted by a ranged magic attack, increase your AC by 2.
While carrying or wielding this weapon, the bearer cannot cast spells or use spell slots in any way.

The Sword has 3 charges, and it regains all expended charges daily at dawn. You can use the charges in the following way while holding it:
Deflect Magic: When you fail a saving throw against a ranged spell attack, you may expend one of the swords charges to attempt to deflect the spell. If you do so roll a D8;

  • On a roll of 1, you suffer the damage as normal, as you fail to deflect the attack in time. You still gain resistance against the damage dealt as normal.
  • On a roll of 2-7, you are unaffected by the damage and/or effects of the spell, as you deflect the spell with a mighty swing of your sword.
  • On a roll of 8,  you is unaffected by the damage and/or effects of the spell, and the effect is reflected back at the caster as though it originated from you, turning the caster into the target, as you skilfully deflect the spell back toward the caster.

Proficiency with a Greatsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.

This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Graze. If your attack roll with this weapon misses a creature, you can deal damage to that creature equal to the ability modifier you used to make the attack roll. This damage is the same type dealt by the weapon, and the damage can be increased only by increasing the ability modifier.
