Weapon (greatsword), legendary (requires attunement)

A Great sword oozing a thick black liquid and fog at all time, the hilt of the blade seems to be broken and has a bright red jewel in the pommel.

Balanced Weapon: May be wielded in one hand if Str is 19 or higher.

Slashing the blade will send a Stream of abyssal liquid and fog in the direction of the attack dealing 2D8 necrotic damage.

Malice Tempered. The Abyss haunter deals an additional 1d10 bludgeoning damage against aberrations, celestials, fiends, devils, demons, and undead, ignoring any slashing or bludgeoning resistances or immunities the creature has.

Unnerving hatred. Every creature can hear within a 10 foot distance unintelligible whispers of the abyss  

Sentience. Abyss haunter is a sentient magic weapon with Int 17, Wis 10, and Cha 19. It has hearing and blindsight of 120 feet.  It can speak, read, and understand Common/abyssal, and It can communicate telepathically with anyone within 10 feet. While attuned, Abyss haunter also understands all languages of Its wielder.

Proficiency with a Greatsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.


This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Graze. If your attack roll with this weapon misses a creature, you can deal damage to that creature equal to the ability modifier you used to make the attack roll. This damage is the same type dealt by the weapon, and the damage can be increased only by increasing the ability modifier.
