Before combat, the wielder may prepare any spell that they know into the staff and have it ready. This spell may be cast as a bonus action at any point when a bonus action is allowed. A spell may be reloaded back into the staff only outside of combat.
When no spell is prepped into the staff, the staff may use cantrips as their Bonus Action.
