Small stone cubes with tiny runes. With the command word "Hot," they heat up, and bring any liquid they are placed in to a near boiling temperature (never boiling, no matter what). With the command word "Warm," they heat up very slightly, and keep any liquid they are placed a lukewarm temperature. With the command word "Cool," they make any liquid they are placed in a refreshingly cool temperature. With the command word "Cold," they bring any liquid they are placed in to a near freezing temperature (never freezing, no matter what). If placed in a large body of liquid, the effect only takes place in a very small area.
These cubes were created by college artificers looking for a way to keep their beers cold at parties, and to prank others by warming up their drinks.
