Wondrous Item, artifact

This machine is a appears in the form of a silver ring. If set on the ground, the ring will first enlarge until it is Huge in size and then it will begin to magically cover a foot off the ground. Then a blue, swirling portal opens within the ring.

A creature can then speak one of the three following words: Past, Present, or Future. Then the creature specifies how many years they wish to travel in time.

A creature can choose to be specific or not. For example, if a creature could say 5 years in the past and be transferred to five years in the past. The same creature could also specify 5 years, 2 months and 6 days into the past and arrive at that specified date.

However,  Drovaris, the time machine's creator, didn't finish his masterpiece so it is unfinished so it can sometimes bring creatures to a time where they didn't wish to go. Roll a d12 for effects.

1-4: DM  chooses where and when the party appears at.

5-8: DM chooses either have the party appear up to 10 days before the chosen date or up to 10 days after the chosen date.

9-11 DM chooses either have the party up here up to 3 days before the chosen day or up to 3 days after the chosen date.

12 The party appears at the at the chosen time they wanted to appear in.

Additionally, the time machine has 1d6 + 1 charges per day and if all the charges are expended it must recharge until the next dawn in order to be used again.

If a creature wishes to stop the time machine from working they must use an action to shake the ring which will then cause the portal to close and for the ring to shrink back into a regular ring and stop hovering. While being worn, the ring form of the time machine gives a +1 to a creatures AC.
