Wondrous Item, rare (requires attunement by a worshipper of The Morninglord)

This amulet is adorned with a fist surrounded in a halo of sunlight. While worn you may invoke it as a bonus action. Upon doing so your fists glow with sacred fire. Whenever you hit a creature with an unarmed strike you deal an additional d4 points of fire damage. This lasts for one minute or until you end it as a bonus action. Once the amulet is invoked you may not invoke it again until the next dawn. You gain further powers as your piety score increases:

At 10 piety the bonus damage increases to d6.
At 15 piety invoking the amulet allows you to cast body of the sun with the same bonus action without expending a spell slot.
At 20 piety the bonus damage dice increases to d8
At 25 piety you may invoke the amulet an additional time each day.
At 30 piety body of the sun is cast at 4th level.
At 35 piety the damage dice increases to a d10
At 40 piety body of the sun is cast at 6th level.
At 45 piety you may invoke the amulet an additional time each day.
At 50 piety invoking the amulet allows you to cast sunburst centred on yourself with the same bonus action without expending a spell slot. The spell does not affect you.

Your piety score starts at 5 and can be raised or lowered by taking certain actions that please or offend the Morninglord, particularly in his sponsorship of the Sacred Fists. The following are some actions that may raise or lower your piety:

Gaining Piety:
- Destroying a source of undead or a powerful undead monster
- Protecting the innocent
- Bringing the light to dark places (metaphorically more than literally)
- Performing a great athletic feat
- Paving way for new life

Losing Piety:
- Fleeing from danger
- Consorting with undeath or dark powers
- Inaction
- Harming the innocent
- Defacing or disparaging Lathander
