Once belonging to Alto Il Saggio, this gun has the capability of firing bullets infused with magic and can hold a single spell slot of 7th level or below within its chamber. The revolver holds 6 bullets, each bullet deals 2d6 force damage for a bullet that's not enchanted plus your dex modifer. For a bullet that's engraved with a spell, depending on the spell, make a spell attack roll plus your dex modifier. If the spell requires a spell save DC, add 8 = your proficiency bonus+ one of your stat modifiers that apply to the spell.
For ammunition, the gun must be loaded with special bullets that are able to absorb the magical force the gun emits. These bullets can be purchased in shops at Fulcra for 10 pp per case, or they can be made by melting down platinum with a recipe of how to make ammo.
Currently, the gun has 1 bullet of modify memory
If you want to engrave a spell onto the gun you must remove all the bullets, cleanse them of their enchantment, and re-enchant them. This process takes time and is different depending on your prof. and class.
If you are a spellcaster, this process takes 3 hours
If you have prof. with firearms but not a spellcaster, then this process takes 4 hours
If you have prof. with firearms and a spellcaster, this process takes the same amount of time as a short rest
If you do not have prof. with firearms nor a spell caster, this process takes the same amount of time as a long rest
It’s up to you to decide whether a character has proficiency with a firearm. Characters in most D&D worlds wouldn’t have such proficiency. During their downtime, characters can use the training rules in the Player’s Handbook to acquire proficiency, assuming that they have enough ammunition to keep the weapons working while mastering their use.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Sap. If you hit a creature with this weapon, that creature has Disadvantage on its next attack roll before the start of your next turn.
Notes: Replace Damage Type: Force, Damage, Combat, Range, Ammunition (Firearms), Reload, Sap
