"Jawbreakers are the treat that every kid in the Cul-de-Sac likes and strives to get. The Eds make multiple attempts to obtain them by earning money from their various scams, only to fail most of the time. Apparently, there are hundreds of flavors of jawbreakers from around the world. This "Jawbreaker" however is one of many failed experiments by the manufacturer to create a Jawbreaker with countless combinations of flavors. Instead of countless flavor combinations, what they got instead was countless effects. Each of the many layers contains a different effect that slowly affects those that consume it. Stopping production once this mistake was made, the manufacturer pushed out the product to employees willing to take them home as a test product. Products in mid production ranged anywhere from 20 layers to 100 layers, each layer with a different effect based on the flavor/combination. The flavor on the other hand? Some claim it tastes like chicken."
The False Jawbreaker is a wonderous item, with many magical effects. The effects this item can bring can be in the form of buffs, debuffs, curses and things in between. None of the effects are long lasting, but can create hilarious or horrible scenes that play out. Most layers cause no sort of issue for the consumer with very few causing effects that require a low DC save to not overdose. These Jawbreakers are very popular among the alchemists of the world for the many relaxing effects they can bring.
This item takes 15 minutes to consume one layer of the giant Jawbreaker, upon 15 minutes passing the consumer rolls 1d100, the result of that die is then matched with the effect on a separate chart. The effects last anywhere from one minute to one month in time, allowing players to only consume one layer per short rest.
Notes: On acquiring this item DM rolls D100 to determine how many layers this item has. Min 20 layers on acquiring. Each layer takes 30 minutes to eat. Bonus: Buff, Debuff, Cursed, Consumable (For my benefit the list of effects and saves I am going to be using is located here by googling "100 Fantasy Drugs and Their Effects". You may use your own for your own effects and fun changing rolls to how it will best benefit you), Buff, Debuff, Cursed
