Arcane Longbow

This bow has no string, but when an attuned creature makes the motion of drawing the bow, a magical bolt of arcane energy appears where an arrow would be. All damage dealt by this bow is considered force damage. You have a +2 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon.

Spell Formula. This magic item was created with the Magic Missile spell as a basis for its abilities allowing you to cast Magic Missile using your spell slots, and granting the following benefits:

Enhanced Missile. As an action, you can use the bow as a focus to cast the Magic Missile spell replacing the spell's maximum range with 150ft. Additionally, when you hit a creature with Magic Missile in this way, each missile deals 2 additional points of force damage. You can use this property a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus regaining all uses on a long rest.

Homing Shot. When you attack a creature in cover, that creature's cover counts as one tier lower for that attack (e.g. half cover is treated as no cover, and three-quarters cover is treated as half cover, full cover creatures cannot be hit as normal.) Additionally, attacking at long range applies a -3 attack roll penalty instead of the normal disadvantage.

Proficiency with a Longbow allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
