Wondrous Item, very rare
A large, flat, circular stone with a corona of short forked wands. The stone is a deep blue with amber flecks visible in its depths, and on its polished surface is an Elvish rune, carved into the stone: the rune for seeking passageways. The andesurië is an ancient Elvish instrument attuned to the "thin places" between planes, and helps in finding them. When near one such place, a rod on the andesurië immediately emits a dim purple glow and sparks of magic fizz around and between the tines, indicating the direction of the portal. If multiple "thin places" are present, multiple forks will be set off. As the instrument gets closer to one of these spots, the glowing and the sparking and fizzing increase. A player must walk directly toward a location indicated by the andesurië in order to pass through the portal.
Andesuriër were made by Eladrin explorers to make finding passages between planes easier. The instruments come exclusively from the Feywild and cannot be created in the Prime Material Plane. Only a handful were ever made. They are uncommon items even in the Feywild, so it is extremely unlikely to ever find one in the PMP. They can work on other planes, however.
