You have a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon. You can use an action to speak a magical incantation, causing the blade to freeze and glow with icy blue runes down the center of the blade. The blade sheds bright light in a 20-foot radius and dim light for an additional 20 feet. While the sword is glowing it deals an extra 1d6 cold damage to any target it hits. In addition, while you hold the sword, you have resistance to fire damage.
This incantation lasts until you use a bonus action to speak a command word, until you drop or sheathe the sword, or activate the Arctic Circle special ability as an action.
Arctic Circle: A burst of icy cold energy emanates from the sword in a 20-foot radius. Each creature in that area must make a Constitution saving throw DC-16. On a failed save, a creature takes 3d8 cold damage and is covered in ice for 1 minute or until a creature uses its action to break the ice off itself or another creature. A creature covered in ice has its speed reduced to 0. On a successful save, a creature takes half damage with no additional effects. The ability ceases all effects from the magical incantation, and can not use this ability again until you finish a short or long rest.
Proficiency with a Greatsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Graze. If your attack roll with this weapon misses a creature, you can deal damage to that creature equal to the ability modifier you used to make the attack roll. This damage is the same type dealt by the weapon, and the damage can be increased only by increasing the ability modifier.
Notes: Damage: Cold, Resistance: Fire, Damage, Combat, Warding, Heavy, Two-Handed, Graze
