Weapon (longsword), rare (requires attunement)

This elegant longsword whistles against the wind when swung. You must be attuned to the sword to bend the winds at your will, but you may still benefit from the +1 bonuses without attunement.

You have a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon.

Zephyr comes with 3 charges that can be spent between two different maneuvers:

Wind of Guidance: When making an attack roll against a creature with this weapon, you can spend a charge to increase the result of your attack roll by manipulating the air around your blade. Add a +3 bonus to your attack roll against the creature. You can choose to spend a charge after you roll the die, but before the outcome is determined.

Tempest Surge: When you successfully hit a creature with this weapon, you can spend a charge to will a gust of wind to move the creature. The creature must make a DC 13 Strength saving throw or be blown back by the conjured winds. On a failed save, a medium or smaller creature is moved 15 feet away from the wielder and is knocked prone, while a large (or larger) creature is blown back 5 feet from the wielder. If the target is thrown into another creature, that creature must succeed on a DC 13 Dexterity saving throw or be knocked prone by the same gust. On a successful save the creature braces against the wind and is not moved.

Neither maneuver can be used together in the same turn. However, you can use the same maneuver multiple times in the same turn should you choose to.

Both features can be used up to three times a day (should the charges permit use) and all charges are renewed each day at dawn.

Proficiency with a Longsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.


This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Sap. If you hit a creature with this weapon, that creature has Disadvantage on its next attack roll before the start of your next turn.
