Asmodeus' Seal

You have resistance to fire damage while wearing this ring.

This ring is composed of 9 thin bands of varying material, which each represent a circle of the Nine Hells. Each section gives the wearer the possibility to earn a specific favor from each of the rulers of the Nine Hells. After earning the favor, the band of the appropriate circle vanishes from the ring.

Obviously favors from such terrible beings require a terrible price. To gain their attention even for but a moment is a feat of it's own. The ring demands the murder of innocent life, the amount increasing with each passing band you complete. It is a progression similar to the Fibonacci Sequence, but in this case instead of addition, the numbers multiply. Starting with 1, then 2, then 6, then 24, then 120, ect.

Shale Circle of Avernus earns a favor of Zariel: She can spare but a single warrior for your cause. You may summon a Barbed Devil to fight on your side for 1 day, until it is killed, or banished.

Iron Circle of Dis earns a favor of Dispater: Too busy to be troubled for a favor, he refers you to his consort Lilis. Locate an object, person or monster, regardless of any magical scrying defenses.

Mold Circle of Minauros earns a favor of Mammon: The Lord of Greed tests your avarice. Give the wearer one of the following: 6,660 gold or taking the results of a roll on the TREASURE HOARD: CHALLENGE 5-10 loot table.

Fire Circle Phlegethos earns a favor of Belial and Fierna: They bless you with the only thing they know. Make the wearer immune to fire damage and the Charmed condition.

Ice Circle of Stygia earns a favor of Levistus: His perception affected by his icy prison, he mistakes your entreatment for the presence of one of his many Amnizu courtiers. You gain the ability to summon 5 White Abishai and 1 Black Abishai, remaining allied with you until they are killed. This property can't be used again until 30 days have passed. You can never have more than 6 Abishai at a time and they must be in that combination.

Geometric Circle of Malbolge earns a favor of Glasya: Your actions are beyond understanding. See what you have wrought. You have truesight and blindsight out to a range of 60 feet.

Onyx Circle of Maladomini earns a favor of Baalzebul: You bear an Artifact of the Nine Hells. And it affects your body as such.
 You gain: • 2 minor beneficial properties
                   • 1 major beneficial property
                   • 1 minor detrimental property
                   • 1 major detrimental property

Glacial Circle of Cania earns a favor of Mephistopheles: Reluctant to grant a favor, Mephistopheles delays your return. Resurrect the character once, using true resurrection. This feature takes a week to take effect after death.

Amalgamated Circle of Nessus earns a favor of Asmodeus: Make the most of what remains of your time on this earth. You may cast Wish once.

Curse. One day after the character has used all 9 favors, their soul would leave their body, and be transported to Asmodeus, who can decide his/her fate. This aspect of the ring can only be discerned with the Identify spell, succeeding on a DC 25 Arcana check, and furthermore, the caster has to be able to read and speak Infernal.

This item is a counter to user Trashim's "Abandoned Ring of the Nine Hells", which I felt could be improved by correcting which Archdevil was associated with each layer, as well as making some of the rewards more appropriate for each layer and Archdevil. I also added a system for earning the favors. This system was not thought up by me, but another user who I will credit once I figure out what his DnD Beyond username is.
