Armor of the Red Comet

There exists a dragon of legend, only spotted by humans on extremely rare occasions, and even fewer occasions, in which one is able to be encountered up close. The dragon's speed is legendary and it is often seen as a single red streak across the sky, often being mistaken for a comet, hence its name, The Red Comet. When one is tracked to the most remote places in the world and successfully slain, its heart still bears within it the roaring energy within the beast, granting armor astounding properties when one knows how to successfully work with it, as difficult as it is. Through hours of tireless work, years of expertise, and incredible luck, this armor set was born of one such heart, granting its wearers abilities known only to the red comet.

This armor gains a +3 bonus to its AC when attuned and you also gain resistance to fire damage.

Red Comet: Attached to the back plate of this armor are a pair of wings that you can extend or retract with a bonus action. While the wings are extended, you gain a fly speed of 90 and gain the ability to take the dash action as a bonus action. If on your turn you take the dash action, your movement does not provoke opportunity attacks. In addition, any creatures large size or smaller within 10 feet of you when you use the dash action, must make a Str save against your spell dc, falling prone on a failure. Outside of combat, your flight speed can reach incredible levels allowing you to travel vast distances in drastically reduced time. You can travel to any destination, as long as it is on the same plane as you, in less than 2 hours. The exact time may vary at dm's discretion, but the travel time can never exceed 2 hours, regardless of relative distance. at the end of this travel, you gain a level of exhaustion.

Crimson Salvo: This armor can be used as a focus for your Artificer spells. While using this armor as a focus, you may cast the spell Investiture of Flame without expending a spell slot or material components. When cast, using the armor as a focus, spells and abilities that require you to make an attack roll, deal an additional 2d8 fire damage on a successful hit. After casting the spell in this way, you must complete a long rest before being able to do it again. In addition, while the wings granted by this armor's Red Comet feature are extended you may use an action and make a ranged weapon attack from the wings, as fire shoots from the opening on them to damage the target. This attack has a range of 30/60ft, You use your intelligence in place of your str or dex when making your attack and damage rolls, and the attack deals 2d8 + Int Mod Fire Damage on a Success.

Peregrine Dive: When you take the dash action and move at least 30 feet in a straight line before making a melee attack roll, you can gain advantage on the first melee attack roll you make on that turn. If the attack hits, it deals an additional 2d8 Fire Damage. In addition, while you are not flying, you may use the Wings granted by this armor as melee weapons. You may use your Int in place of your strength for making attacks with this weapon and one a successful his it deals 1d8 piercing damage or 1d10 piercing damage if both of your hands are free when making the attack.

Random Properties:

• 1 Major Detrimental Property(When you attune to this armor you age 3d10 years, if this would kill you, your body instantly turns into a red dragon egg)
• 1 Minor Detrimental Property(While Attuned to the armor, you must eat 3 times the normal amount of food you require for a day.)
• 1 Major Beneficial Property(While attuned to the armor, you know the spell fire shield and may cast is from the armor without expending a spell slot or material components. When you cast the spell this way you cannot do so again until you complete a long rest)

Half plate consists of shaped metal plates that cover most of the wearer's body. It does not include leg protection beyond simple greaves that are attached with leather straps.
