Artificer's Crossbow Bolt - Salt and Pepper
A small tube is connected to the shaft of a bolt below the head. An artificer has filled the tube with small iron bearings and salt crystals. Upon impact with an object or target, the ammunition activates, sending its contents in a 10ft sphere.
Any targets in the sphere take 2d4 bludgeon damage (Iron Balls) and 2d4 piercing damage (Salt Crystals).
On a successful save, take half damage from Salt and Pepper.
Any targets in the sphere become blind for one turn.
On their next turn, the creature must make a saving throw or become prone. Also any creatures entering the 10ft area are required to make a saving throw or become prone.
On a successful saving throw, the target cannot be effected by this single ammunitions effects again. Once it hits a target or object, the ammunition is no longer magical.
"Iron balls are slippery, and salt stings the eyes..."
