Armor of the Phoenix Lord, Chain Mail

The armor is a beautiful series of gold and red feathers infused with the base material and smells faintly of cinnamon. You gain the following benefits:

From the Ashes Reborn. If you die while attuned to this armor, you are brought back to life with a fiery explosion. At the start of your next turn after dying, all creatures within a 30-foot radius must make a DC 20 Dexterity saving throw, taking 10d10 fire damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. You are resurrected on your feet at your hit point maximum, only wearing this armor. You lose all other magical items that are of a lesser rarity than this armor. This effect can occur no more than once every 24 hours. Any ongoing effects or conditions on you are ended.

Protection of the Phoenix. While attuned to this armor, you gain a +3 bonus to your armor class.

Flight of the Phoenix. As a bonus action, you can cast the spell Fire Shield using the armor. While you are under the effects of this spell you have a flying speed of 60 feet. Once you use this ability, you can't do so again until you take a long rest.

Made of interlocking metal rings, chain mail includes a layer of quilted fabric worn underneath the mail to prevent chafing and to cushion the impact of blows. The suit includes gauntlets.
