Weapon (maul), very rare (requires attunement)

Taken from the corpse of a monstrous Tomb Tapper, this massive magical sledgehammer possesses many properties that set it apart from other weapons of its kind.

While attuned to this magic weapon, you have a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with it; on a hit, the sledgehammer deals 3d6 force damage to the target instead of the normal 2d6 bludgeoning damage. 

While attuned, the sledgehammer gains the benefits of the reach and thrown (range 30/120 ft.) properties. If thrown, the sledgehammer returns to your hand(s) at the end of your turn; if you have no free hand(s) to hold it with, it lands at your feet instead.

Proficiency with a Maul allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.


This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Topple. If you hit a creature with this weapon, you can force the creature to make a Constitution saving throw (DC 8 plus the ability modifier used to make the attack roll and your Proficiency Bonus). On a failed save, the creature has the Prone condition.
