This short sword manifests as a seemingly regular short sword, with a silver insignia embossed on the pommel, showing a demons tail entwined to create a pentagram. The inscription in Abyssal that is etched along the length of the blade reads “Walk in darkness always, Whisperer of the Nine Shadows”. When these words are spoken the insignia flares and the blade transforms into one of pure shadow, whispering faintly and emitting sparks of flame.
The swords modifier is charisma and it does psychic damage instead of slashing as you sever parts of your victims soul. Whilst wielding Argolcheir’s Tail with this weapon, you do not have to subtract damage modifiers from attacks made with this weapon as you usually would in compliance with the normal two weapon fighting rules. In addition, you may attack with this weapon as a bonus action if you have taken the attack action with Argolcheir’s Tail this turn, and the swords damage increases to 1d8.
Upon hitting a creature with this weapon, they must make a wisdom saving throw with DC 15 or be frightened of you for the next minute as you cut away a part of their soul. You may also throw this sword to a range of 20 feet as an action, dealing normal damage on a hit. Whilst the sword is lodged in a target, you may make an action with Argolcheir’s Tail to pull it out. If you choose tho do this, the next attack you make uses the combined might of both of Argolcheir’s artefacts, it does 2d8+ CHA modifier psychic damage, and if it reduces the target to 0 hit points, then you regain hit points equal to the damage you dealt with your attack. You may only use this ability once per long rest.
Proficiency with a Shortsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Vex. If you hit a creature with this weapon and deal damage to the creature, you have Advantage on your next attack roll against that creature before the end of your next turn.
Notes: Damage: Psychic, Frightened, Warlock, Finesse, Light, Vex
