This Adamant bottle has a well polished Ademantine stopper. You can use an action to speak the flask's command word, targeting the body of a humanoid that died less than 24 hours ago that you can see within 60 feet of you. If the target had a soul when it died, you must succeed on a DC 18 intelligence saving throw. If you succeed on this saving throw, the target's soul is trapped in the flask. If you fail this saving throw, your soul is trapped in the flask and your body becomes petrified until your soul finds its way back to your body.

Once trapped, a soul remains in the flask until released. The flask can hold only one soul at a time.

You can use an action to remove the flask's stopper and release the soul the flask contains. 

An identify spell reveals that a soul is inside the flask, but the only way to determine whose soul is to open the flask. A newly discovered bottle might already contain a soul chosen by the GM or determined randomly.
