Seeming at first to be a simple quarterstaff, a twist of the staff and a rapid twirl will reveal a spring loaded set of wings and a tail, made of a tough fabric with wooden ribs. If you are hit by a critical hit or fail a saving throw and that causes you to take full damage, the glider is also damaged and possibly destroyed. Roll a d6 to determine the severity:
- (1) critical failure - the glider is completely destroyed
- (2) severely damaged - the glider is inoperable but you can spend 1d4 long rests/4 days of downtime repairing it
- (3-4) minimally damaged - the glider is inoperable but you can spend a short rest/1 hour repairing it
- (5-6) hanging by a thread - the glider is still operable but any successful attack against you will make also damage the glider.
- If this occurs roll 1d4 on this same table to determine severity.
Everyone. As a reaction to falling at least 20 feet while the glider is on your person, you descend 60 feet per round and take no damage from falling.
Airbenders. An airbender can use the glider to fly. As a bonus action while lying, you can choose to reduce your fall rate to 0. If you take an action, you can instead climb up to 30 feet. You can move horizontally up to 60 feet each round while you glide. An airbender who has ki points can spend 1 ki point as an action to double their speed while gliding. For 10 minutes (as long as you concentrate), you can gain up to 60 feet vertically each round, and you can move up to 120 feet horizontally

This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Topple. If you hit a creature with this weapon, you can force the creature to make a Constitution saving throw (DC 8 plus the ability modifier used to make the attack roll and your Proficiency Bonus). On a failed save, the creature has the Prone condition.
