This magical bronze shortsword has a curved blade decorated with motifs of wings all along it.
Charges. This shortsword has a number of charges equal to the number of creatures that have been attuned to it in the past, which is typically 3d4 + 3 charges. It regains 1d6 charges each dawn. Whenever you make an attack roll or a Wisdom check, you can expend a charge to roll a d4 and add the result to the roll.
Alternatively, you can spend ten minutes, expending all charges (you cannot use this ability if the shortsword is missing a charge), to ask the personalities contained within the sword a single question concerning a specific goal, event, or activity. Over the course of the ten minutes, the personalities held in the sword converse with one another and agree on the most likely answer based on their knowledge.
Sentience. The shortsword of the lord thieves is a sentient lawful evil weapon with an Intelligence of 17, a Wisdom of 20, and a Charisma of 15. It has hearing and darkvision out to a range of 120 feet.
The shortsword can speak, read, and understand Common, and can communicate with its wielder telepathically. Its voice sounds like several voices of distinct wills but can communicate ideas to its wielder just as well, although it takes three times as long. While you are attuned to it, the shortsword of the lord thieves also understands every language you know.
Proficiency with a Shortsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Vex. If you hit a creature with this weapon and deal damage to the creature, you have Advantage on your next attack roll against that creature before the end of your next turn.
