An amber-encased relic, this amulet is said to hold a piece of the heart of an ancient saint. A single hollow, golden thorn protrudes from the center of the amulet's jewel.
As an action, the attuned healer may wrap their hand around the amulet and squeeze, causing a drop of blood to be absorbed into the amulet's center. In this way, the healer can use their own hit points to heal another, sacrificing one HP for each point given. The targeted creature need not be conscious or willing, but must be within sixty feet. More than one creature may be targeted at once, but a sacrificed hit point is only worth one HP for an individual creature.
The attuned healer may also expend five HP to cure a target of one disease or neutralize one poison affecting them.
If the healer has half or more of their HP remaining, they may use all their remaining health to bring back to life a creature who has been dead for no more than ten minutes; the healer immediately drops to 0 HP and the targeted creature becomes conscious with 1 HP. This feature does not regenerate missing limbs or cure diseases or other afflicting conditions in the reawakened creature, nor can it be used on a significantly incomplete body.
