Weapon (shotgun), very rare (requires attunement by a This shotgun, with its crazy sights, knobs and dials as well as wheels and gears takes time studying and learning to adjust and use effectively.)

You have a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon.

When you drop a pellet in this Scatter-shotgun, it burbles and gears move with sights auto-calibrating and attempting to get targeting on an adversary. When you use this weapon to make a ranged attack, you can, as a bonus action use the command phrase, "Lock-Target RSS-Model One Bravo." The target of your attack becomes your auto-calibrated and locked-on enemy until it dies or until dawn seven day cycles later. You can have only one such auto-calibrated and locked-on enemy at a time. When your auto-calibrated and locked-on enemy dies, you can choose a new one after the next dawn has cycled in.

When you make a ranged attack roll with this weapon against your auto-calibrated and locked-on enemy, you have advantage on the roll. In addition, your target gains no benefit from cover, other than total cover, and you suffer no disadvantage due to long range. If the attack hits, your auto-calibrated and locked-on enemy takes an extra 1d12 piercing damage.

While your calibrated auto-sighted enemy lives, you have disadvantage on attack rolls with all other weapons from the distracting vibrations and alarm buzzing going off of the Artificer's Scatter-shotgun.

It’s up to you to decide whether a character has proficiency with a firearm. Characters in most D&D worlds wouldn’t have such proficiency. During their downtime, characters can use the training rules in the Player’s Handbook to acquire proficiency, assuming that they have enough ammunition to keep the weapons working while mastering their use.

This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Push. If you hit a creature with this weapon, you can push the creature up to 10 feet straight away from yourself if it is Large or smaller.
