An intricate red and silver metal box embossed with Spades, Diamonds, Hearts, and Clubs with a large "A" on the largest two sides. The box contains a set of 52 blank 3 1/2 x 2 1/2 inch metal sheets about the thickness of your standard poker card. Upon drawing a sheet from the box the user must speak a command word to activate the card (drawing and speaking the command words do not require an action but using the card itself does) on speaking the words "Diamond", "Spade", "Heart", or "Club" the selected card will engrave itself to match the suit spoken. Each suit has a different effect on how the selected card behaves. (when thrown with sufficient force and on successful hit, the card will always stick corner first 8mm into whatever surface it impacts regardless of material as long as it is solid.)
(A player may use a bonus action to "flick" the card after activation, making the card Volatile, when volatile the card becomes invisible to anyone (excluding creatures or people with truesight) who did not witness the player draw AND flick the card. The card will perform its normal function but at double the effectiveness, it may then be gently placed on a surface to which it will then conform to the shape of the surface. Though the card will only activate when sufficiently disturbed.)
"Heart" activation will cause the Ace Of Hearts to radiate a bright scarlet glow and begin to trail smoke and embers when moved. When thrown the card buries itself into the target and combusts in a shower of sparks and molten metal, melting through (almost) everything in its path for 10 seconds (+10 sec when Volatile) within a 1 foot radius 1D20 fire damage for one turn or 2D10 if Volatile.
"Diamond" activation will cause the Ace Of Diamonds to produce vapor and begin to ice over. When thrown the card shatters into white vapor and ice crystals upon impact that begin to expand, this AOE fills a 10 feet in diameter circular area centered around the cards point of impact, targets inside this area must roll a Dex save =10 or take 1D20 cold damage, damage is halved on successful save. When Volatile, the card turns a translucent blue as if made out of glacier ice or stained glass, once placed on a surface it spreads frost over a 10 foot area that rapidly engulfs the area in large ice crystals trapping creatures or people that do not roll a successful Dex save (left to DMs descretion) stopping them from performing actions for one round and the ice implodes after one round dealing 2D10 cold damage to anything caught inside the area.
"Spade" activation will cause the Ace Of Spades to turn black and begin to emit static arcs around the card. When thrown the card streaks through the air with a thunderclap and calls a 5 foot wide bolt of lightning from the sky that bypasses nonmagical obstacles between it and the target dealing 1D20 lightning damage +1D6 lightning damage as the card continues to spark until it disapates 5 seconds after impact. When Volatile this card, instead of becoming invisible... becomes gelatenous, turning into a brightly glowing deep blue gel. A player may (if they act quickly) carefully apply this gel to a projectile such as an arrow or throwing knife, axe, spear, ect. adding a +5 lightning damage to the next ranged attack performed with that weapon but will damage or destroy the weapon or arrow upon impact.
"Club" activation will cause the Ace Of Clubs to vibrate wildly, as if trying to escape itself. When thrown the card explodes with a concussive blast dealing 2D10 bludgeoning damage to anyone within 15 feet of its point of impact. When Volatile the card becomes a bomb, 30 seconds after being absorbed onto a surface a pulsing orange glow will appear, 5 seconds after this the card releases an ungodly force comparable to that of a hurricane, a thundering explosion rocks a 30 foot area flattening everything in sight and dealing 3D10 bludgeoning damage to any creature or person within the blast, anything outside of the 30 foot area but within 50 feet must roll an acrobatics check or lose their footing and fall over.
If the user fails to speak an activation command and throws a card, the card will impact a target for 1 slashing damage and will bend the metal sheet rendering it useless.

Proficiency with a Dart allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Vex. If you hit a creature with this weapon and deal damage to the creature, you have Advantage on your next attack roll against that creature before the end of your next turn.
