Weapon (longsword), legendary (requires attunement)

This sword was forged for one purpose: the slaying of a certain enemy. A handsome and imposing sword of preeminent craftsmanship, with an ornate scabbard decorated with scenes of battle. While not quite sentient, if the wielder is not attuned to it, it will refuse to be drawn. Lost for centuries, it may be that this sword's finding is the end of an era.

Properties

Single-Minded: When the wielder is not attuned to it, the sword refuses to be drawn and instead deals non-magical Bludgeoning damage with the scabbard.

Declaration of Intent: When the scabbard is touched, it reveals the creature(s) it was forged to destroy in a short message similar to the Magic Mouth spell, which is audible within 30 feet of the scabbard. It repeats the message on command, and will repeat it to creatures that touch it and have not already heard the message.

Nemesis: The wielder may treat the creature the sword was forged to slay(as well as others of its type) as a favored enemy. The sword has +2 to attack and damage rolls against the favored enemy, and deals and extra 3d6 damage to them on a hit. Against other targets the sword functions as a +1 Longsword. When you first attune to the sword, it gives you a quest to find and defeat its favored enemy(determined by the DM). You must complete this quest as if affected by the Geas spell, and for the duration, creatures of the same type as the favored enemy are hostile towards you. Once you complete the quest, you are no longer affected by this property.

Resolute: While attuned, the wielder cannot be Charmed or Frightened by the sword's favored enemy, and they are immune to diseases the favored enemy inflicts.

Final Hour: While attuned, the wielder can expend a charge and speak the sword's command word as a bonus action, which gives it +1 to attack and damage rolls with it for a minute. For the duration, if the target of any attacks with the sword is its favored enemy and is a critical hit, if the target has 100 hit points or fewer, it must succeed on a DC 15 Constitution saving throw or die. This property can be used once after a long rest.

Proficiency with a Longsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.

This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Sap. If you hit a creature with this weapon, that creature has Disadvantage on its next attack roll before the start of your next turn.
