Twisting gold filigree is inlaid on a silver crescent shaped band. A single empty gem socket is centered in the band. The crown channels the innate elemental properties of the gem laced inside the band. The strength and type of damage provided by the enchantment are determined by the quality of gem placed inside.

1001 - 5000 | 1d12 | Clear | Radiant | |
each additional 10,000 | add +1d12 | Other | Force |
(For example, a gem worth 12,000 gold would add only 1d12, a gem worth 25,000 gold would add 3d12)
When the beast who is equipped with this crown hits with the one of their attack actions, they may add an additional dice to the damage roll of that attack. The type of dice, and type of damage, are dependent on the gem that is currently set into the crown.
Detaching and reattaching a new gem takes an hour of careful prying and reattuning to the new gem type.
Challenge Variant: Gems cannot be removed once they are set, but can be replaced by new gems at the cost of shattering the gem currently inside.
Notes: The intention of this item is to give Beast Master rangers some flexibility with the types of damage their companions do, as well as some additional hitting power. Ideally as the party scales up in level they will acquire rarer and more powerful gems, granting their ranger's pet a part of that bounty to help with their damage. , beast, Damage, Buff, Combat, Jewelry, Headwear
