Wand of Glowstick

The Wand of Glowstick can be activated by gently cracking it, causing a pale green glow to emanate from the wand. The wand sheds bright light in a 20-foot radius and dim light for an additional 20 feet. Completely covering the wand with something opaque blocks the light. The light lasts eight hours before fading quickly, sputtering back to darkness. It can be used in this way again after a long rest. 

Placing the wand in an extradimensional space, like a portable hole or a bag of holding, or a box filled with ice will extend the duration of the light, but the effect ends when the wand is removed from the storage space.
