Brandishing it grants a +2 to spell attacks while at least one spell is stored within it. More functionally, It can be utilized to absorb oncoming attacks of magical prowess with an accumulative number of charges. When a charge is used in this way (reactionary, within 10ft), a contested roll of the users Intelligence modifier against the hostile creatures spell modifier will be made. Succeeding in this contest will result in the hostile creatures spell being stored in the band as pure magical energy. This new energy can be built up for as many charges are expended to do so.
When released, the targeted creature must make a dexterity save equal to your save DC. On a success, they take half force damage, however on a fail the target takes the full force of the accumulative damage from the spells the user's contained. The force is so pure however, that the user themselves takes some of the drawback damage from the hostile creatures failure.
