Weapon (longsword), rare (requires attunement)

A longsword with cracks running the full length of its blade, the Shattered Blade is seemingly weightless beyond the hilt, and yet remains sturdy when used in combat. You gain a +2 bonus to attack and damage rolls with this weapon. It has the following additional properties.

Separate. As an action you can make the blade fall apart at the cracks. The blade remains this way until you use an action to return the blade to normal.

Shield. As a reaction to being hit with an attack the blade falls apart at the cracks in the blade and forms a shield around your arm giving you a +2 to AC until the start of your next turn.

Extend. As an action the blade separates at the cracks extending your reach by 5 feet. The blade remains extended until you use an action to return the blade to normal.

Ammunition. Using an action the blade falls apart at the cracks and forms a floating circle around the hilt. Make a ranged attack to launch a shard of the blade at an enemy within 30ft. Using an action, you recall all the shards to reform the blade onto the hilt.

Versatile. This weapon can be used with one or two hands. A damage value in parentheses appears with the property—the damage when the weapon is used with two hands to make a melee attack.

Proficiency with a Longsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.

This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Sap. If you hit a creature with this weapon, that creature has Disadvantage on its next attack roll before the start of your next turn.
