Arcane Eye

Silver ring with a shrunken eye of a beholder within it.

This ring allows the selection of one 5th level or lower spell to be considered a cantrip while equipped. Once the spell has been selected it is locked into the ring and the one who wears it can now cast that spell as a cantrip while equipped.

After the spell has been cast 100 times the user eventually loses some control over it and will begin to cast it if it has a strictly visual casting time without realizing they are casting it. This will not take up an action, but may cause problems for the user.
