This small golden coin is inlaid with minute detailing and arcane runes, almost impossibly small. Upon inspection this coin seems to radiate trace amounts of every school of magic, never truly choosing a specific school. A spellcaster can use this coin in place of their arcane focus when casting spells that have material components without a gold piece value. If the spellcaster casts a spell with material components that have a gold piece value, they can choose to use this coin instead. This coin can act as a substitute for the material required for the spell as long as the gold piece value required is no more than 2,500gp. If the material component required is normally consumed by the spell, this coin is also consumed. The coin can be used as many times as the spellcaster wishes for spells that do not have valuable material components, however if it used to substitute material components it can not be used again in this way until the spellcaster has finished a short rest.
